Founded in 1996, as ADB Software and Systems Engineering Limited, to provide real-time embedded systems engineering consultancy within the defence industry.

Since then, the group has diversified away from being a pure defence industry player, and now also undertakes contracts in the commercial sector.

In 1998, ADB Enterprises Limited was established as the parent company of the group.

In 1999, Internet Intuitive was formed, as a joint venture with Different Computing Limited, to provide internet services, ranging from domain registration, to web-hosting and co-location.

In 2002, this joint venture was unbundled, and saw the formation of ADB Internet Services Limited, which took over the web-hosting and related activities, as well as the Internet Intuitive trading name.
